Larry Flynt's Hustler Casino is a cardroom located in the Los Angeles suburb of Gardena. It officially opened on June 22, 2000. From the 1960's until sometime in the mid to 1990's it was known as the El Dorado Club until Flynt purchased the property razed the old building and erected the current casino.
Many observers in the public and in the gaming industry speculated that because of Flynt's past legal troubles he might not be able to get a license to operate a cardroom. This speculation proved to be nothing more than myth when the California Gambling Control Commission confirmed that Flynt is the sole proprietor and gaming licensee of the Hustler Casino. The casino is so successful that it now brings in $4 million in taxes annually for the city of Gardena.
