[edit] Parachute Hankies

Hello, I'm trying to preserve this wonderful song written by Ms. Giroux, but as you see there isn't any trace of it online! I have viewed a rare recording of its performance, given to my German class by Colonel Gail Halvorsen himself, on a DVD. I have contacted Ms. Giroux asking for an audio copy of the song, but she does not even have one herself! Is there any way I can either cite my correspondence (via email) with Ms. Giroux, or perhaps somehow upload the footage of the performance online to corroborrate the article? I only wish to preserve this historic song, so that it won't fade in time forever (as it is nearly lost if not for Col. Halvorsen's recording.) Thanks, goob.

[edit] It would seem

it would seem that you are on a wiki cleaning rampage. im fine with that, i dont want wiki to end up as another en-dramatica. however, the mmog evolution page IS NOT worthy of deletion, so when we have it finished, and remove that annoying notice, please dont replace it. [edit] Aquinas College, Perth & Related Pages

It would seem that you are on a wiki cleaning rampage. im fine with that, but the Aquinas College, Perth related pages deserve to be on wikipedia and you should not nominate them for deletion. Please find something else to do. Smbarnzy 08:15, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Well would you agree to delete some and keep others? i think there should be a vote on each individual piece, not them as a group, i admit some are abit dodgy, but others should be kept - mainly sport. Smbarnzy 10:32, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey man, thank you for your notice on the Aquinas College, Perth related articles, but your cleaning rampage is over. Your deletion request was removed :) thank god for that. Anywho, have a nice Christmas. Smbarnzy 16:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey Huon, ive changed all of the references, thanks for ur offer of help. I need to reference the other articles, ive cut out the irrelevant references for each individual article, just need to put in the references, but i dont think im doing it correctly...like they arent linked up etc? is there some page on how to reference? Thanks. Smbarnzy 16:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, The Christian Brothers College (est 1894) was a founding member of the PSA in 1905. CBC became two separate schools - Aquinas College and Trinity College. Aquinas College kept all of the sporting records of CBC, whereas Trinity did not. Effectively in the eyes of the PSA: Aquinas College is the new name of CBC. Confusing for outsiders i know, but a good question. Thanks =) Smbarnzy 16:46, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Aquinas College, Perth

Hey Doctor =) you seem to be pretty with it, so i was wondering if you could review my article on Aquinas College, Perth at Wikipedia:Peer review/Aquinas College, Perth , I have spent a considerable amount of time on this article and have been lacking in the feedback dept. Thanks =) Smbarnzy 12:58, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Sources

we did place sources. didn't you see the link to NeonWiki? (evolution wiki) and there is also the link to the game itself. if a wiki dedicated to the game doesnt count as a valid source, and the game doesnt ether, then you will not find a single source of information. all the information provided IS accurate, and none of it is original research. i have seen some people use LJ blogs as a source of information, perhaps if i posted one? (three guesses what the username is!) i think you should try playing Evo, you can join [LOL]. it will be fun, i promise! Evil oranges 02:28, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Just wanted to let you know a featured article you worked on, 0.999..., was featured today on the Main Page. Tobacman 00:27, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Battle of Salyersville

As a member of the American Civil War Task Force, I stumbled on to this article during a minor canvass of Kentucky-related battles. I reworded the poorly written article for as a part of the Task Force's attempts to clean up all Civil War articles. In further research, I found your test article, which frankly I think should be substituted for my rewrite. Please do so at your earliest convenience. Scott Mingus 19:12, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] World Jewry

Yes, the double redirects. I attempted to make a start at renewing them. But hoped I could get some help with that, so left then. Thanks. Chavatshimshon 11:31, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Im feeling a bit isolated here. I feel I have a very good point. Some people are suggesting all sorts of funny thing like that Jewry is an anti-semitic term, is archaic, includes only religous jews etc. What are your opinioin on my idea to rename Jewish Population 'World Jewry'?

[edit] 0.999... and 1

Hi Huon!

I hope you have now learnt that Infinite 0.9 is <> 1

It's the same as trying to say there is an end to the universe! we see the Brick wall but know the number continues!

A.R.B (FLT DEMONSTRATOR 1998)

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. No, I haven't learnt that 0.999... is unequal to 1; quite the contrary, I can prove the equality (and repeatedly have done so). Physical examples have little relation to pure mathematics. --Huon 14:59, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

I completely disagree with the algebraic proof. if you do the sum in reverse it does not work. ps sorry for adding nonsense. i wont do it again
