I've made a minor correction to this article: According to the Wikipedia article on satellite states, Latvia (as well as other neighbouring countries) cannot be regarded as a former satellite state since it was not a formally sovereign country under Soviet rule. Instead, it was a Soviet republic. --Juzeris 19:16, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)
