Huntington Park High School

Huntington Park High School is a secondary school in Huntington Park, California, United States.

HPHS, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District.

The school serves the cities of Huntington Park and Vernon and the unincorporated community of Walnut Park; some sections of Huntington Park and Maywood are jointly zoned to Huntington Park and Bell High School in Bell.

HPHS opened in 1909 [1].

In 2005, South East High School in South Gate opened, relieving Huntington Park [2].

In 2006, Maywood Academy High School [3] opened. The project page describes the school, a non-zoned magnet school, to have relieved Huntington Park.

The school will be relieved when South Region High School 7 opens in Huntington Park in 2011 [4].
