Hunterston B Power Station is a nuclear power station south of Largs in North Ayrshire, Scotland. British Energy operates it.

It started generating electricity on the 6th February 1976 and is currently scheduled to be decommissioned in 2011.

The graphite moderator core in each of the twin AGR reactors at Hunterston B has recently developed structural problems in the form of cracking of the bricks.[1]
