Hunter Parrish (born May 13, 1987) is an American actor. He is known for playing Silas Botwin in Showtime's television series Weeds, as well as for appearing in several Hollywood films.
Parrish was born in Richmond, Virginia. He has guest starred in several TV series including CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Close To Home, and Summerland. He has also appeared in the films Sleepover (2004) and RV (2006).
Parrish's most recent role was in the film Freedom Writers (2007), in which he played Ben Samuels, the only caucasian student at a California high school class. Reviewer Thomas Hibbs of the National Review Online noted that Parrish played the role with "unassuming humor".[1]
