Hunter (pol. Łowca)- Polish heavy metal band (however musician call its style as soul metal). The band founded in 1985 in Szczytno by Paweł Grzegorczyk and Grzegorz Sławiński. The name of the group comes from the title of song "Die Hard The Hunter" by Def Leppard.

[edit] Hunterfest Festival

Since 2004 Hunter organize festival "Hunerfest". It takes place in Szczytno on the towns beach every August. Till now there were 3 editions of the festival in: 2004, 2005 (this year Hunter celebrated the 20th anniversary) and 2006. During Hunterfest many polish metal, and rock bands plays its concerts. There are both polish and foreign bands, such as: Opeth, Fear Factory, Napalm Death.
