Hungry Freaks, Daddy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Hungry Freaks, Daddy" is a song by the Mothers of Invention, and was released on the Mothers' debut album, Freak Out!

The song showcases Frank Zappa's lyrical talents; it's the first song on the first side on the first record of the Freak Out! double album gatefold. The guitar riff is reminiscent of The Rolling Stones' hit (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, and the arrangement has a pseudo-symphonic feel. The lyrics mock conformity, as well as Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society programs. It is one of Zappa's best-known songs.

The song is also quite notable for being the first song on Zappa's first full album.
