Hungarian national ice hockey team

The Hungarian national ice hockey team has participated in the IIHF European Championships, the IIHF World Hockey Championships and the Olympic Games. They are currently ranked 22nd in the world by the IIHF. It is controlled by the Magyar Jégkorong Szövetség. There are no Hungarian players currently playing in the NHL; three have been drafted to the league though, Tamás Gröschl by the Edmonton Oilers, Levente Szuper by the Calgary Flames and János Vas by the Dallas Stars. However, a few Slovak players with Hungarian names are playing in the NHL. Notably, Andrej Meszaros of the Ottawa Senators and Ladislav Nagy of the Phoenix Coyotes.
