Hundertschaft

Hundertschaft is a German term to denote a military or police group of around one hundred members. Historically the Germanic tribes created fighting groups of 100 men. In the modern German military structure this term is not used. It is currently used by the Landespolizei and Bundespolizei which are police agencies of the German Federal Republic and states.
