I'm assuming this email address eventually reaches Humphry Knipe; if not directly, could you please forward it?
This is about the Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org, a somewhat popular volunteer online encyclopedia project. Early this month, a Wikipedia editor with the handle Kniper made a change to our article on Suze Randall with the comment 'Suze has never been credited as "Victor Nye", which is a varient of her husband's name: Victor Humphry Knipe. Humphry used this screen name when he wrote the script for some of her movies.' Some have speculated that Kniper is, in fact, Humphry Knipe, but we don't know. Anyway, while the Victor Nye/Humphry Knipe conjecture seems reasonable, we don't have any verifiable (usually meaning published) evidence of it; instead, several sources (including IMDb, and even a page from Suze Randall Productions) seem to say that Victor Nye is a pseudonym of Randall herself. Based on this fact that there was evidence against it, and none for it, I had to revert the change. I asked the editor for more evidence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Kniper), but never heard back. I got curious enough to ask you, on the odd chance that you either are Kniper, or care one way or another about your Wikipedia article. Was Victor Nye actually Humphry Knipe, or Suze Randall?
If Victor Nye really was Humphry Knipe, we'd appreciate a publically available, published, source saying as much that we can cite. This includes web sites, so if you could add a line to your Amazon column site or Nero Predictions site, (or any other of your half dozen websites, but outside the "pay-only" area, please) saying as little as "Humphry Knipe also used the alias Victor Nye to direct several films", then I would happily correct the two Randall and Knipe Wikipedia articles saying as much.
On a separate matter, if Kniper really is Humphry Knipe, we could mention that as well, on the Humphry Knipe article talk page. There is a "Notable Wikipedians" page about editors who have articles of their own we try to keep up - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notable_Wikipedians . It's mostly for internal use, but would lend a bit more credibility to Kniper's edits next time.
Thank you, (an) Anon E. Mouse Wikipedia editor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AnonEMouse

- Thanks you for your interest. My nom de porn was indeed Victor Nye on the Suze Randall films I directed in the 1980's. I have changed my Amazon bio to confirm this:
- I hope this is helpful.
- Humphry Knipe
- Also, I am not and never have been Kniper!
- Wikipedia as a great service, by the way - I use it frequently. The piece on Carl Sagan, for instance, was very insightful with respect to his personality.
- While you're about it, another point, this time trivial. My brith place Kimberley is spelt incorrectly. There's an e between the l and y.
