- What, that humans everywhere deserve certain basic human rights simply because of their humanity?

- If by "this" you mean the portal itself, I don't think so-- HR is presented as a "concept" that humans have certain rights. nothing here asserts that human rights undeniably exist, only that many people believe that they do (which is a factual NPOV claim). If by "this" you mean the web resources, I'd say that they're just examples of the phenomenon the portal is dedicated to-- the portal isn't saying "Wikipedia endorses these links," but just that "these are links relevant to this subject." If I've totally missed your point, please clarify. Zeligf 18:09, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
Didn't mean to add it as a response to your comment, just as a comment on the portal in general. I was looking at statements like "Was this boy gunned down by Confederates? Forever crippled by exploding shrapnel? We will never know this." Wikipedia's here to present facts, not advocate a position. War is filled with horrible atrocities, but it's our position to state that they happened, not to try to stop them. Night Gyr 21:18, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
- That caption's language was a bit preachy, and I've changed it to something more NPOV. Zeligf 18:00, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Still under construction?
I would say this portal was above average and so the "under construction tag" could be removed. Addhoc 13:30, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
