Humberto Moreira Valdés

Humberto Moreira Valdés (born July 28, 1966) is a Mexican politician and current Governor of the Mexican state of Coahuila. He is a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party.

Moreira was born in Saltillo, Coahuila, earned a bachelor's degree in Education. During his career he has been a teacher and principal on a secondary school in Saltillo (1990), assistant to the Secretary of Education during the term of President Ernesto Zedillo, Secretary of Public Education in Coahuila (1999-2002), Director of CONAFE (a federal institution for the promotion of education) in Coahuila, municipal president (mayor) of Saltillo (2002-2005) and Governor of Coahuila since December 1, 2005.
