Human Nature is an episode of the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. It will be broadcast on BBC One on 19 May 2007,[1] and is the eighth episode of Series 3 of the revived Doctor Who series. It will be the first episode of a two-part story, written by Paul Cornell, who also wrote Father's Day for the new series. It is an adaptation of his 1995 Doctor Who novel Human Nature.

The overall plot of this story is taken from the novel Human Nature, and takes place in the daunting setting of a boarding school on the cusp of the First World War. The precise details of this adaption, and how it differs from the original novel, are not yet known.

- In "Jo Whiley meets Doctor Who", an episode of the BBC Radio 1 programme The Jo Whiley Show, it was confirmed that some filming was taking place in a village hall. It also stated that the episode will feature monsters known as "Jack Straws".[2]
- In the commentary for The Runaway Bride, David Tennant speaks about filming in St. Fagan's Museum of Welsh Life for these episodes before they stopped filming for Christmas.
- Speaking about the monsters in this episode, Russell T Davies says "If you thought scarecrows were scary, you ain't seen nothing yet."
