Hugo Morris Friend (July 21, 1882 - April 15, 1966) was an American athlete who competed mainly in the Long Jump and hurdles.

He competed for the United States in the 1906 Summer Olympics held in Athens, Greece in the Long Jump where he won the bronze medal. He had been favorite to win the 110 metre hurdles but hit the first hurdle and was out of the race won by fellow American Robert Leavitt
