Hugh William Montefiore

Hugh William Montefiore (born May 12, 1920, died May 13, 2005) was Bishop of Birmingham from 1977 to 1987.

He was the son of Charles Sebag-Montefiore and was educated at Rugby School, St.John the Baptist College, Oxford and Westcott House Theological College. In 1945 he married Elisabeth Paton.

He was Vicar of St.Mary the Great with St.Michael and All Angels, Cambridge from 1963 to 1970 and Bishop of Kingston upon Thames from 1970 to 1978.
