Huffman, Texas

Huffman is an unincorporated area of northeastern Harris County, Texas within the Houston–Sugar Land–Baytown metropolitan area.

The area was first settled by David Huffman in 1839. A post office was later established in 1888 and two blacksmith shops were operating within the community by 1892.

The Huffman Independent School District is named after the community and currently serves the area with four schools. Today the population is over 8,000.
