[edit] Building History

The building opened as the district's high school in 1928. It cost $230,770 [1].

Later, additions and renovations were needed to keep up with the school district's growth. The first addition constructed was in 1955. Soon after, the current gym and additional classrooms were added in 1962. Until the opening of Hudson Junior High School at 120 N. Hayden Parkway, grades six through twelve took classes at this building.

In 1972, a cafeteria and media center were constructed in a two-story addition built over the former faculty parking lot. Also at that time, the original gymnasium, located opposite the auditorium, was divided into classrooms on the first and second floors. In 1992, the new high school opened, and the old building became Hudson Middle School.
