Hubi Meisel

Hubi J. Meisel (born July 31, 1974) is a German progressive rock vocalist and producer. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany.
Before going on his own, he was the singer for the German progressive metal band Dreamscape on their CD very. Since then he has released a CD of famous songs from the 1980s covering such bands as Rush, The Cars, a-ha, and Mr. Mister, among others.
In 2003 he released EmOcean, a concept album about a man dealing with such themes as Atlantis, the Sargasso Sea and the Bermuda Triangle. This CD also includes musicians Marcel Coenen, Vivien Lalu and Daniel Flores.
His latest work is the concept album KAILASH, released on February 27, 2006. This recording deals with a story about a man on a quest who travels to the Himalayas and ultimately reaches Mount Kailash. It presents Tibetan concepts and Hiduist philosophy. Guitars are played by Jorge Salán (on "Mägo de Oz"), Marcel Coenen (on "Sun Caged") and Joop Wolters. Keyboards are played by Vivien Lalu, drums by Daniel Flores (on "Mind's Eye") and the bass by Johan Niemann (on "Therion").
