HSC Chemistry

The New South Wales, Board of Studies, HSC Chemistry course studied by secondary students in their final year of schooling involves three compulsory modules, and five elective modules (one of which must be studied). Students must complete assessment tasks throughout the year on these topics, and are examined on the topics in their final exam in October/November.
The three compulsory modules are:
- Production of Materials
- The Acidic Environment
- Chemical Monitoring and Management
The five option modules, of which one may be studied are:
- Industrial Chemistry
- Shipwrecks, Corrosion and Conservation
- The Biochemistry of Movement
- The Chemistry of Art
- Forensic Chemistry
