Hryhoriy Nestor (Ukrainian: Григорій Дмитрович Нестор; Russian: Грирорий Дмитриевич Нестор; also Grigory Nestor, Grigori Nestor) claims to be the oldest man in Ukraine. As of March 16, 2007, he would be 116 years old, if his age were verified--an age that has never been scientifically proven to be reached by a male.[1][2][3]

Nestor allegedly was born on March 15, 1891 in Western Ukraine[1][4], and currently resides in Stariy Yarychiv in the Kamianka-Buzka region of Lviv Oblast.

He has never married, and claims that this is the secret to his longevity.[1]

Nestor's relatives are in the process of applying to Guinness World Records for the title of the world's oldest person and oldest man. It should be noted that many claims in the past have been applied, but were not accepted for lack of evidence (if sent to them at all), like in the case of Leonid Stadnyk (claim of tallest living man rejected).
