"How Can I Be Sure" is a popular song.

Written by Felix Cavaliere and Edward Brigati Jr, it was originally recorded by The Young Rascals on their 1967 album Groovin' and became their third top five hit in the USA. Eddie Brigati sang lead vocals. The following year it was recorded by Dusty Springfield.

It was revived in 1972 with a cover from David Cassidy, which became a major hit on both sides of the Atlantic, reaching number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spending two weeks at number one on the UK singles chart.

It has been covered by several other artists including P.F. Sloan, Gloria Estefan, Percy Faith and others.
