Hovin is a village in the municipality of Melhus, Norway. It is located between Støren and Lundamo. Its population (SSB 2005) is 588.

Hovin had a train station on Dovrebanen, but it is no longer in use. Hovin have several distinct terraces in the hillsides, which is remnants of old shorelines following the end of the ice age.
