"House of the Waiting Family" (「家族の待つ家」 Kazoku no motsu uchi?) is episode 17 of the Fullmetal Alchemist TV series originally aired 2004-01-31.

After four years without even sending a postcard, Edward and Alphonse return to their hometown of Risembool. Ed needs Winry and Granny Pinako to replace his automail arm, and Al needs Ed to perform alchemical repairs to his armor body. Edward is the only one who can. Major Armstrong reassures Pinako that Ed and Al, while frequently in trouble in the course of their investigations, are quite able to take care of themselves. Winry finds a private inscription inside Ed’s watch: “Don’t Forget,” and the date the Elric brothers burned down their home and left Risembool.
