House of the Redeemer (New York City)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Located at 7 East 95th Street on New York City's Upper East Side, the House of the Redeemer is one of the finest Italian Renaissance-styled townhouses in New York.
Designed by architect Grosvenor Atterbury in 1916 for Editch Shepard and Ernesto Fabbri, the house was constructed around Shepard and Fabbri's architectural piece collection. The highlight of the house is its library showcasing historic panels from the Palazzo Ducale, Urbino, in Italy.
The house was deeded to the Episcopal Church in 1949 and now serves as a retreat house.
