House of Krazees
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
House of Krazees was an underground rap group in Michigan from 1993 to 1997, and shortly reunited in the fall of 2004. The members consist of James Spaniolo (Mr. Bones), Paul Methric (Hektic), and Brian Jones (The R.O.C.). The group's lyrics mostly consisted around themes of violence, horror movies, and of course, Halloween. For a while it seemed that the sky was the limit. They began touring with the Insane Clown Posse on the Milenko All Up in Your Face Tour, and rumors were spreading about them joining their label, Psychopathic Records. However, they signed to Latnem Records, owned by Walter Stepanenko. Soon Walter's general lack of education became apparent to the group, while at the same time Walter was beginning to realize that the House of Krazees wasn't the cashcow he'd hoped they would be. Soon label problems lead to Hektic and Mr. Bones leaving the group behind.
After this The R.O.C. made a "Last hope for HOK" move, and reformed the House of Krazees with new member Skrapz (former member of 2 Krazie Devils, with Blaze Ya Dead Homie, then known as Psycho C) and released "The Night They Kame Home". After modest success they decided not to use the House of Krazees name, and instead became HaLFBrEEd. They had extreme success in the underground scene and the group is regarded as legendary. After a few years they began to grow and expand musically and decided to put an end to the group and form Level Jumpers with F.R.EEZE.
Meanwhile, Methric and Spaniolo formed a new rap group named Twiztid, and shortly signed a record deal with Psychopathic Records with friends Insane Clown Posse. Methric raps as Monoxide and Spaniolo raps as Jamie Madrox.
The R.O.C. is currently pursuing a solo career.
The terrifying trio performed their last show as the House of Krazees in the fall of 2004 during Twiztid's Halloween event "Fright Fest". A dispute involving Twiztid, ICP and Psychopathic Records in 2003 almost caused a split between Twiztid and Psychopathic. There was an abortive attempt to form their own label with tour manager Tom Dub, which they called Majik Records. It was under the new label that House of Krazees was to be reunited under the name Samhein Witch Killaz. After rumors of financial troubles, the duo resumed negotiations with Psychopathic Records, and Majik Records was scrapped. Samhein Witch Killaz remains in the plans, but details are scarce.
