House cooling party

When a person decides to leave a house or flat they will have a house cooling party. This is similar to a housewarming party, but is not designed to celebrate moving in to a house or flat. It is designed to celebrate leaving.

Guests are sometimes encouraged to spackle holes left from nails in the walls, to paint, or to otherwise help prepare the space for the incoming residents.
