"Hounds of Love" is the title track of the Hounds of Love album by Kate Bush, the third of the album's four singles. The song was released on February 24, 1986.
The song is about being afraid to fall in love (in the song this feeling is compared to being chased by a pack of hounds). The song reached number 18 in the UK Singles Chart. The cover of the single features Kate looking remarkably like Liza Minelli.
The versions worldwide differ slightly: The UK version is 3:02 minutes long, but the USA single mix included an additional chorus just after the second chorus.
The song was covered in 2005 by the British post-punk band The Futureheads.
