Houghton, Hampshire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Houghton, Hampshire is a small village, situated alongside the River Test. The villages houses are mostly beside the main road through the village, however a relatively new housing estate off Stevens Drove has extended the village somewhat. Daniel Busk, a wealthy farmer, owns many houses in the village - renting them out. His houses can be recognised with the Busk family logo printed on every house.
Houghton has a church, with services run on a weekly basis. The All Saints community however, is constantly raising funds for ongoing costs that become harder to meet. The village also has a Village Hall, used for functions such as the village Harvest Supper. The rent fee for the hall is £20 per night.
