[edit] Only in Canada, Eh (77-81) Vol 1.

From Ear Candy magazine:

"Various Artists,"Only In Canada, Eh 77-81, Volume One" (Punk History Canada) This is a pretty nice package overall. Twenty-three slabs of Canada’s best punk rock anthems from 1977-1981 on one killer disc. It comes with a 12 page booklet that has a brief history on each of the twenty-three bands represented. Some of my favorites are “Teenage Terrorist” by the Unknowns, “TV’s On The Blink” by The Action, “You’re Tearin’ Me Apart” by Teenage Head, the hyperactive groove of “Thinking Naturally” by Lowlife, “I Broke Her Heart, She Broke My Arm” by Stark Naked And The Fleshtones and last but not least, the Kinks flavored “Get Away From Me” by the Hot Nasties. This is a must have even if your not familiar with the early years of the Canadian punk rock scene.

[edit] This page MUST stay here this time

Spare me your "vanity listing" horsesh*t. I am not related to Warren Kinsella at all. I am just a journalist, radio show host and punk rock enthusiast since many years ago and The Hot Nasties SURE ARE one of Canada's great punk rock act. They do have a 7" and it's called "The Invasion of the Tribbles" and it sells for about 200 $ on eBay most of the times since it's very rare. It's been put on Frank Manley's "Smash The State" Canadian Punk Anthology LP and 7". There were NOT an "unknown high school band" like Arthur Ellis, whoever he might be, says. Like the Fits, Genetic Control, the Dishrags, they were one of those who defined Canada's punk rock sound. So, Mark Bourrie, please STOP asking for deletion just because of a little conflict you have with Mr Kinsella. I know punk rock way more than you do and my record collection is bigger than yours. You destroyed my work once, I sure won't let you do it twice. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 205.237.53.91 (talkcontribs).

[edit] Merging

Probably a good idea to merge the recording into the article -- if it's worth keeping -- since they only made one EP and the band is unlikelyt to make any more. 209.217.66.150 18:03, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

NOT A GOOD IDEA TO MERGE Keep'em separated! This 7" is one of the earliest and more important Canadian punk rock 7"'s and sells for more 100$ each time it appears on eBay. It has been influential enough to be included in its entirety on the "Smash the State" compilation as an example of Canadian punk rock, among hundreds of other releases by hundreds of other bands. 205.237.53.91 23:44, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Give it a rest. It's all just crap and you know it. Why are there four guys in the poster and only three mentioned in the article? 209.217.66.179 11:54, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, this record is incredibly important to Canadian punk, and punk in general, but a merger still seems a good idea. however, a redirect is probably necessary. JonnyChance 09:38, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
