Hotel Mudlavia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hotel Mudlavia (commonly referred to simply as Mudlavia, and originally named the Indiana Springs Company) was a hotel and spa built on the site of a natural spring near the town of Kramer in Warren County, Indiana. It opened December 25, 1890, and served guests for many years before burning and being rebuilt several times. A new "fire-proof" hotel and sanitarium became the hotel's final incarnation before burning in the twenties and not being revived. Currently the former Mudlavia Hotel is home to some Indiana Paintball teams (Warren County Paintball, Rogue Recon, and Hell's Rangers 2000-2006)and apparent "cultists" as the building has been covered with various symbols and phrases to that effect. The hotel has a long history of unsubstantiated claims of paranormal activity ranging from ghost sightings to audible "ghostly" sounds. Other stories speak of bodies being found in a nearby pond from the time when mob activity was alleged to be frequent in the area of the hotel.
