[edit] Trivia

  • This music video and the one for "Stressed Out" were the two that were not featured on the A Tribe Called Quest Video Anthology.
  • In the music video, Q-Tip wears a mask similar the one Hannibal Lecter wore in Silence of the Lambs. This was to hide the damage he suffered from a physical altercation with Wreckx-N-Effect. The group felt they were dissed in the group's single "Jazz (We've Got)"
  • This song was the shortest song A Tribe Called Quest released as a single.
  • This is the only song the group did for a film's soundtrack.
  • The production from "Hot Sex" was sampled for Heltah Skeltah's 1998 hit single "I Ain't Havin' That" and Mary J. Blige's 2003 single, "Love @ 1st Sight".
