"Hot Potato" is a single by American singer La Toya Jackson, the third single from her successful 1984 album Heart Don't Lie. It peaked at #43 (Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks) and #38 (Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play). It also enjoyed time on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart. The single was released on 7" and 12" formats with the album track "Think Twice" on the B-side. Some singles also include a dub version.
Jackson performed this song on the US TV show "The Unknown Stuntman" (with Lee Majors) in 1984, where she had a guest appearance.
