The official Brazilian music charts are currently compiled by Hot100Brasil on behalf of the Brazilian record industry and are published weekly.

The Singles chart is compiled from 280 selected radio stations across 27 states in Brazil. The chart is considered an accurate barometer of a song's popularity as Brazil does not have a physical retail singles market; with only the odd single being available as a CD single/maxi. With the advent of digital downloads, this may change in the future.

The Top 30 CD sales (i.e. Album chart) is compiled from a national sample of retail store, mass merchant and internet sales.
