[edit] Offtopic article perhaps in need of a complete rewrite

It is my opinion that this article is completely offtopic, and mostly repeats information in the S-Video article. It seems as if it was intended to document the Mini-DIN_connector, but did not achieve it's goal. While it is certainly valid that the term "Hosiden" is used to refer to the Mini-DIN connector, because it is a DIN standard, it seems as if Hosiden is an alternate name rather than the primary name, and perhaps Hosiden_connector should redirect to Mini-DIN_connector. The Hosiden article itself might be replaced with a stub on the Japanese company itself.

Discussion of this topic exists on the Talk:S-Video page. Joey 05:17, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

endorse the plan on Talk:S-Video#compromise_proposed to merge these contents into a wider mini-DIN article, and perhaps change this to cover the company. // FrankB 21:14, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Rewritten

I've rewritten the article, it is now a small japanese company stub.

As a side note, I really have no idea how notable this company is in the connector manufacturing space, so who knows if it should have it's own entry or not. That is to say, don't take my writing of this stub as any endorsement, I'm only doing it to remove older, redundant, S-Video information.

That is all. — Mobius 20:42, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
