From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hoshu Sheedi, whose full name is Shaheed Hosh Mohammad Sheedi was French speaking army leader of Talpur Mirs' army which fought against British in the Battles of Miani and Dubbo. Before his martyrdom in the Battle of Dubbo, though French speaking, he attempted to raise this famous Sindhi slogan which was originally coined and raised by Shaheed Mir Jan Muhammad Talpur in the Batle of Miani:
“ | مرسون مرسون، سنڌ نه ڏيسون 'Mar waisun, Sindh na Ddaisun' (We'd die but wouldn't give Sindh [to others] | ” |
This slogan has lately became a war cry for Sindhi nationalists in Sindh.
