Are we sure? Can we verify this ?Frelke 20:47, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Corrected. Abba's Super Trouper suceeded it in 1980.
I did some minor editing of the bad grammar at the start.--Hibernian 12:46, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Chart info
Your article says that Horslips had a no. 1 hit in Germany 1973. Well, this seems not to be the case. In my German Chart Singles 1956-1980 book there are in fact no entries at all by Horselips. (And I strongly believe that this is the only chart book covering Germany in this period). As I got a whole bunch of chart books at home I looked up Horslips in all of them, and found out the following:
Horslips had NO ENTRIES in the following countries/periods:
Germany-Singles 1956-2000 Germany-Albums 1962-1986 Holland-Singles 1965-1997 Holland-Albums 1969-1997 Switzerland-Singles 1968-2000 Norway-Singles 1958-1993 Norway-Albums 1963-1993
Canada-Singles 1975-1999 Canada-Albums 1977-2002 USA- Billboard -no entries on the Top 100 Singles chart, Bubbling Under Singles chart, Bubbling Under Albums charts, the two Rock Tracks charts 81-95 UK- NME - Albums 1962-1986 UK- NME - Singles 1966-1990 UK- 35 Years Of Hit EPs
Horselips had entries in these album books:
UK- Guinness Hit Albums book (which used Music Week charts): 1 entry in 1977 USA- Billboard: 2 entries 78-79 USA- Cash Box: 4 entries 77-79 USA- Record World: 1 entry 79
