There is a little bit of a problem with bird lists. Most have format

• Spotted Oojar, Oojarus maculatus

some are

• Spotted Oojar (Oojarus maculatus)

Do we need a consistent style?

What about south european eagle-owl or great owl (Bubo maximus)? Or this list isn't comprehensive? --grin ✎ 17:18, 2004 Dec 20 (UTC)

no such species in HBW, or any other book, and the only listed subspecies is ascalaphus, the N African form, which HBW splits. jimfbleak 06:50, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
