HorrorHound is a nationally-distributed US film fan magazine specializing in the genres of horror, slasher, fantasy, sci-fi, splatter and exploitation films.

HorrorHound manages to separate itself from other magazines like Fangoria by not only covering films and DVD's but by spotlighting the artists that make the movie's and the film's merchandise, who are usually overlooked. Additionally, HorrorHound publishes articles not seen in most mainstream magazines of any sort, not just the horror kind; such as "10 Reasons to Own a Region-free DVD Player" and "Everything You Wanted to Know About UK Censorship, But Were Afraid To Ask" which are geared towards the more "hard core" fanatics and collectors, yet would be useful to the more casual viewer as well.

HorrorHound features showcases on collectibles put out by such companies as Sideshow Collectibles, National Entertainment Collectibles Association, SOTA Toys and other action figure, prop replica and mask making companies.

HorrorHound also publishes original art and covers from people in the industry such as Ed Repka, Eric Pigors and Jeff Rebner.

By the Summer of 2006, HorrorHound reached a landmark with the selling-out of their third issue, which featured Chainsaw 2 artwork by Rebner. The issue has since become a hot seller via ebay, where some sources have seen the title sell for upwards of $40 making HorrorHound an official collector's item.

Beginning in the Winter of 2006/2007, HorrorHound began mass-distribution throughout the US, making the title widly-available at Borders Group and Barnes and Noble bookstores. Before the sixth issue of HorrorHound was published, the company had already had a hand in the making and promotion of various action figure lines from NECA and SOTA Toys, and helped in the production of four various horror DVD releases, such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 Special Edition (from MGM), Re-Animator (from Anchor Bay Entertainment) and two more yet-to-be-announced editions, due in the 2007 season. In the Summer of 2007, the publication marks a new landmark with the creation of HorrorHound Weekend. A new horror convention featuring top name genre stars, directors and crew members.
