Horos, khoros (χορός) means "dance" in Greek language. This word occurs in the names of numerous Greek dances. Sometimes the word may be omitted, e.g., both "Hasapikos choros" and Hasapiko may be seen in use.
The word has common origin with the word chorus and is derived from khoreia.
