Hoppers Crossing Secondary College

Hoppers Crossing Secondary College (HCSC) is a government high school in the outer Melbourne suburb of Hoppers Crossing, Victoria, Australia.

Hoppers Crossing Secondary College has a student population of about 900, offering a curriculum for years 7-12. As well as the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), the Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) programme is also offered for years 11 and 12 students.

Hoppers Crossing Secondary College was originally opened in 1984 and called Hoppers Crossing Post Primary school. At the time, it was intended to combine the best of both high school and technical education into a single institution. In 1984, the college opened with only a Year 7. Each year after that an additional level was added until the first Year 12 students completed their education in 1989.

At this time, the school had an enrolment of 1,232, the fourth-largest in the state at the time. More recently, enrolment has stabilised at about 900.

The college was renamed from Hoppers Crossing Post Primary to Secondary College in the early-90's.
