[edit] Geography and activities

This bay is in a lunar shape. The northern and southern sides of the bay are full of rocls, while there is a beach in between, covered with dark gray fine sands.

Several hundreds away from the seashore, the undersea topography varies a lot, causing waves 2 to 3 meters high. Such waves hit the bay over and over again, making surfing a common activity here. This bay became a main location for surfing at northern Taiwan. There are also several stalls for surfing teaching.

The beach is a good place for non-surfing activities, such as beach volleyball. However, littering is quite common here, which is a pity though.

There were some minor music festivals in summer during last few years.
