Honeydripper is a 2007 American musical drama film written and directed by John Sayles.
Filmed and set in Alabama, the film stars Danny Glover as the owner of a blues club that is failing until he hires a young electric guitarist (Gary Clark, Jr.). The film also stars musician Keb' Mo' and singer Mable John.[1] Rhythm and blues singer Ruth Brown recorded some songs for the film and was cast to play a role, but she died before filming started.[2]
