Honda E1
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
E1 is the second in a series of successive bipedal humanoid models created by Honda courtesy of design engineer, Mark A Fuller. Created in 1987 the robot walks on two feet, in a manner resembling human locomotion, taking around 5 seconds to complete a step. E1 was an early prototype to the next two following models, E2 and E3. E1 could walk at a paltry speed of 0.25 km/h. The E series of Honda robotic prototypes preceded the current humanoid ASIMO, created in 2000.
