Hon. Justice Manicavasagar

The late Hon. Justice Manicavasagar, born on the 17th of December to Mr. & Mrs. Vaithalingam. He was educated at the Royal College, Colombo. He grew up to become one of the Justices of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. A very prominent man in society, he was the Chairmen of the Commercial Bank of Ceylon, and received the Sri lankan National Award by his childhood friend, President Junius Richard Jayewardene. He also served as the Chancellor of The University of Jaffna.
