From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The need of repertory came to Hahnemann, when big numbers of the symptoms came in existence and created problem to him to memorise these symptoms for prescribing purposes. Hahnemann prepared a referal material, which is having 4239 pages in total four volumes. Hahnemann's publisher Arnold could not published the book due to financial position.

In year 1829, he engaged a young doctor Ernst Ferdinand Ruckert to arrange the symptoms for repertory purposes. But Dr. Ruckert could not help in this regard.
