Homla
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Homla is a river in Hommelvik, Malvik in Sør-Trøndelag, Norway
It starts in the lake Foldsjøen and ends in Trondheimsfjorden, through Hommelvik.
It was first used by the timber industry, but is now as a small river with good fishing opportunities. Small-sized salmon and seatrout can be caught here.
Around the turn of the year 2000, there were immediate plans for constructing a large dam over the river's largest waterfall, "Storfossen". Thanks to local engagement, these plans were eventually aborted, and the river can still be enjoyed in all its scenic splendor.
