Homebush West is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It lies south of Homebush Bay, east of Lidcombe and west of Homebush.

The suburb is only around 5-15 mins walking distance to many shops, 2 schools, 2 preschools, Flemington train station and Paddy's Markets north of the train line.

There are two schools in the suburb, Homebush West Public School and St. Dominics Primary School.

There are 2,659 people living in the area according to the 2001 one census, 1,351 males and 1,308 females. This is likely to increase dramatically in the 2006 census due to the large number of new flats replacing the demolished houses in the area. Alreading Homebush West P.S is reporting increasing enrolments.
