I added a expansion tag rather than a speedy deletion, though it may be a candidate for the latter. Its unclear to me if this is encyclopedic... I'm hoping the expansion tag will draw someone with knowledge, maybe the writer, to write why this warrants a post (if at all). Thray 21:17, May 2, 2005 (UTC)

Hollister Ranch deserves an article because it is a large area of coastal California and no article on any census-designated place covers it. It is also home to some of the best surfing in California, and its private ownership is an issue of contention in a state where every inch of coastline is expensive, in need of protection, and at risk for development. There is also historical significance to the acquisition of the property. I'll do some research and try to expand the article.--Rockero 18:32, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
