Holt McLaren is a fictional character on the FX television series Dirt, played by Josh Stewart.

Holt McLaren was a has-been actor whose only claim to fame was his long past blockbusters, and his girlfriend, Julia Mallory. After telling Lucy about Kira Klay's pregnancy, she agreed to do a profile about him in her magazine "Now" (still a single entity at the time). After that, he received multiple offerings from movie studios and is currently working under contract on a big-budget action film. This revelation has taken a dangerous turn when his girlfriend, Julia Mallory began taking drugs and he had her sent to rehab. It has recently been revealed that he had worms but he is taking medication for it.

After a party he had sex with Lucy in her limo and since then finds himself drawn to her and at the same time he became angrier and angrier towards Julia, especially after learning about her sex tape. He seems to resent himself for sleeping with Lucy but has yet to do anything to stop the relationship. When he learned about Julia having a secret copy of the sex tape and how she leaked it herself, he packed his bags and broke up with her.
